LIBERTY BRIDGE AT FALLS PARK ON THE REEDY
Triad Engineering & Surveying teamed with Arbor Engineering to provide ground control for the construction of this suspension bridge over the Reedy River in the City of Greenville, South Carolina. The bridge has a total length of approximately 345 feet and a clear span of 200 feet. It is supported by twin inclined towers and a single suspension cable with thin cable suspenders only on the side away from the falls, allowing for unobstructed views. In addition to the ground control, Triad also provided CQA surveying services.
LOWE’S BLUFFTON, SOUTH CAROLINAS
Triad Engineering & Surveying staff designed the site improvements for the development of this 27.6-acre site. The design and permitting presented numerous challenges due to wetlands, a major power crossing, and restricted site access. The final design included master planning outparcels for future development and the design of a 10’ high retaining wall. The wall was utilized to allow for the construction of the parking area without encroaching into on-site freshwater wetlands.
AFR NORTH AMERICA PLANT EXPANSION
Triad served as the surveying and civil engineering design consultant for AFR’s plant expansion. The expansion included a 20,000 square foot expansion in the current phase and accommodations for a future 16,000 square foot expansion along with the expansion of one parking lot and the rehabilitation and redesign of a second lot. The bulk of the civil design involved grading and utilities for the plant expansion and closing two stormwater detention ponds and replacing them with a third larger pond to serve both sites. The total site area is approximately 34 acres and roughly 60,000 cubic yards of soil will be moved during the grading phase.
